Summer dinners in Milan: five restaurants with garden

It is summer and we are still in Milan, hence we want to suggest to you five restaurants with garden to enjoy summer evenings surrounded by our charming favourite colour.

Here below the places we selected in the areas of: Isola, Duomo, Navigli. Anywhere you are in Milan those are the cardinal points to easily enjoy a fairy tale dine out.

Frida Bar – Isola

As soon as you get in you land on the moon, literally. The outdoor with the industrial canopy is filled with lush green and it is given a romantic twist  by a moon shaped hanging lamp, which duplicates inside the restaurant. The interior walls are decorated with with murales. It is ideal for an aperitif with friends inside a unpretentious, lively and colourful place, a green local gem.

Osteria al NoveZona Isola

Dining inside a forest in the centre of Milan? We got it! Osteria al Nove takes place in the spaces of an historical bowls club in Isola neighbourhood. It is a well curated interior and a homey atmosphere, the outdoor is a flourishing green, with tables for two surrounded by trees, and with a small lake in the middle. The arbor is charming, and this courtyard is the protagonist also in the cold winter evenings, thanks to the big fireplace and green boiserie which together make a warm rustic look.

Don Lisander Montenapoleone

Don Lisander is an historical restaurant which opened in 1947 in the heart of Milan, it is a short walk from Teatro alla Scala. It takes the name from Alessandro Manzoni, who was fondly renamed Don Lisander by milanese people. The interior takes place in the former chapel of palazzo Trivulzio, whose magnificent garden is visible still today in the courtyard of the restaurant. It is open both at lunch and dinner during all the summer season.

Il Bacaro del Sambuco – Montenapoleone

Bàcaro is a Venetian word to indicate a typical tavern… (have you ever heard the way to say “andar per bàcari”?). Here you get back to that idea. The garden is enchanting and elegant, both for summer lunches and winter dinners, when it is covered for the cold. Facing the small halls in front of the courtyard, you can see the furniture, a welcoming you with blue and white colours.

Le Petit Jardin – Ripamonti

This is a restaurant in one of the longest and most populated streets of  Milan, via Ripamonti 238, it was opened by the same owner of the famous night club Plastic, Lucio Nisi, who died recently. It is tavern with a refined taster, warm, with a outdoor garden where you can taste cocktails surrounded by green lush from spring to late summer.
