Richard Sapper: the Designer of our everyday objects
Richard Sapper passed away on the 31st December 2015 – the designer who redesigned our everyday life objects. He was born in 1932 in Germany and was always professionally linked to Italy, thanks to his Milan based studio. With 10 Compasso d’Oro awards (plus one for lifetime achievement) is considered one of the greatest designers of all time, his timeless products will remain in history forever and in the stories of all of us.
We want to remember him with a collection of his most important projects, which have made himimmortal, and still able to surprise and compete with the contemporary design proposals. His creations are exhibited in the major museums around the world, such as the MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Triennale in Milan.
