Maria Veneziano and the great project of CreativeMamy

Our experience at ABILMENTE fair 2015 continues with the interview to Maria Veneziano, the mind behind the super followed social page CreativeMamy, which counts thousands of fans all over the world. In this edition of ABILMENTE, CreativeMamy exhibited a stand dedicated to the theme of theparty, and especially of kids’ parties, an exhibition space made with also the aim to inspire creative mums.

Four big areas were studied based on the needs of children according to their age, but not only them. We find: the Carousel Party designed for the youngest from 0 to 6 years old; the Jungle Party for older and more brave kids; the Sweet Party, the most feminine for little girls; and to conclude there was theFlowers Party with romantic twist, a party design for mums, that can bring them back to their childhood! During the days of the exhibition you could attend free courses with the fabrics by Filomania, and the first national gathering of creative mums.

Let’s know better Maria, can you tell us what CreativeMamy is and what it means for you?

CreativeMamy was born in 2012 from a passion, my passion, for creativity all the the creative hobbies. I have a background and a past career as a lawyer, but with the time passing, and the love for this great world, I decided to give up my job in April 2014 in order to devote myself entirely to the development of the CreativeMamy project – which wants to give the right value and visibility to the “hidden” talent of mums and women, which otherwise would not be able to come out. At ABILMENTE we managed to come together and meet each other, even for the first time, and work all together on what has been just a talk on a Facebook chat so far. Only once we carried here all the material we managed to understand the way to proceed and assembly what was thought, and solve the various unexpected events which happen only once you are on site, from the three meters high jungle trees to the smallest details.

It’s now time of our usual question, we would like to know what pushes you everyday into your creative activity, your strengt, and I think to have already understood what it is.

Without any doubt I can say my first inspiration is my daughter, Gaia, she is 7 years old and she is able to impress me everyday. I could have many other examples, but I remember a couple of years ago I was working with her on a tyre wrapping it with some cord in order to make a small table, but the idea to leave it like that on the floor was not convincing me at all,  and so my daughter turned and very spontaneously proposed to use cans full of pebbles as supports for it, really surprising!
