COYA Restaurants: Peruvian Flavours in the Heart of Europe

Today I wish to introduce you COYA, a brand of restaurants that has just unveiled its new venues in London Mayfair, Paris, and Mykonos.

The flavour of Peruvian cuisine gets to the heart of Europe through COYA’s high end interiors, which welcome their guests in sleek, luxury yet eclectic environments, where textiles, shades, and details remind of south American culture, but with an urban metropolitan twist. The interior design has been crafted by the design team of London-based practice Sagrada, and headed by director Richard Saunders and senior designer Andrea Ginetto. The projects have been conceptualised following many years of experience working with the Coya Brand starting from the initial concept inception through the development of many venues around the globe.

Coya Mykonos

Longing for that kind of magic, divine dinner surrounded by a midsummer Greek landscape? The amazing location of this restaurant gave the opportunity to explore and introduce new design features that are truly unique to this specific COYA. From the moment of arrival the rich textures of the hand carved panels welcome the guest to a journey designed to provide customers with a flavour of Latin America with roots to the Peruvian culture. The Pisco (Pisco is the national drink of Perù) bar front is designed with Peruvian handmade mirrors arranged in an organised sequence that create a stunning effect. Those combined with the textures and finishes of the furniture, art and lighting truly capture the COYA spirit throughout the venue.

The large terrace area with its beautiful landscape and the addition of individually lit hanging baskets bring a soft yet captivating dining experience.

The idea for the COYA lounge was to create a special area within the venue, a hidden place to be discovered. The wall mounted Peruvian sculptures create a dramatic effect in the space combined with the metal structure that form the ceiling, the Pisco feature wall and the back bar all connected in one piece. All furniture and accessories with beautifully crafted details are handmade bespoke for COYA.

‘Le Jardin de COYA’, Paris

The ‘Le Jardin de COYA’ located in the exclusive area of St Germains bring the Latin flavours of COYA to the exterior garden of this beautiful venue. The immersive COYA experience is now available to enjoy ‘al fresco ‘ with an outdoor bar carved in timber and with gold tassels. The tables, chairs and sofas allow large groups to enjoy the experience as well as more intimate seating arrangement all surrounded by beautifully detailed metal work and landscaping all around the garden.

Coya Mayfair

The award-winning restaurant, bar and members’ club COYA Mayfair, has transformed the space after a period of closure which has allowed for an extensive refurbishment to take place. COYA Mayfair has re-opened on Saturday 4th July 2020 with a new spirit of adventure, taking their guests on a refreshed multi-sensory journey into the heart of South America. The team will bring vibrant dishes and cocktails alongside contemporary interior design and art drawn from the capital’s best talent.

London design studio, Sagrada, has redesigned the impressive Piccadilly site, reflecting the group’s Peruvian focus, with Spanish and Asian influences. Greenery, gold mirror walls, Peruvian made furnishings and accessories, Incan patterns and carved wooden panelling will take centre stage in the restaurant, Pisco Bar & Lounge and Members’ Club, while an external terrace situated to the back of the Members’ Club will overflow with tropical plants and foliage.
